‘Tumbling Autumn Leaves’ is a 60x120cm landscape painting in acrylic and metal leaf on a deep-edged canvas. It leads you on a stroll along a path through deciduous woodland in early evening as sunlight shines between the trees. The painting is full of rich, warm colour including red, orange, yellow, burgundy, green and brown. Some of the paints used have a metallic shimmer. The background is a mixture of copper, silver and golden metal leaf, slightly tarnished for atmosphere. Finished with a light varnish which enhances the textures.
